Oxvac returns with two floor tools. Live tracked to cassette, these just hit. The first ear lure is the low register plowing through the noise balancing deep kicks and thumping arpeggiating basslines. The ear then turns to the dusty leads and detuned pads filling the gaps and harmonically coalescing with the chromium dioxide. Shifting through a narrative like pace, the straight grooves are offset with live modulations and evolving texture-like mids. This brings an all too familiar sound, yet somehow here, it’s very novel in an almost archival way. A must for anyone who wants to rattle the floor while making everyone wonder, who’s this?
